Arezou Tavakkolyfard

Arezou Tavakkolyfard, MD, studied medicine in Iran and brings 7 years of diverse clinical experience as a General Practitioner to her role as a Case Manager at BC Diabetes. Her medical career in Iran includes 5 years of specialized practice in a hospital hemodialysis ward, managing complex renal cases, and co-existing chronic conditions such as diabetes and hypertension, alongside 2 years of experience providing critical care in the Emergency Department. Additionally, she ran her own private medical office, delivering comprehensive primary care, preventive medicine, and individualized treatment plans to her patients. She is a Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada (LMCC).

As a Case Manager at BC Diabetes, Arezou leverages her extensive background in acute and chronic disease management to coordinate specialized treatment pathways and support patients in optimizing their health outcomes. Her experience as an International Medical Graduate allows her to seamlessly combine sharp clinical judgment with empathetic, patient-centered communication.

Arezou is not a registrant of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC and therefore not licensed to practice medicine in BC.
