The BCDiabetes team includes physicians, nurses, dietitians, pharmacists, receptionists and support staff – all highly trained and dedicated to optimizing care & improving outcomes for every British Columbian with diabetes.
We take pride in providing all the services of a traditional diabetes centre to complement the care provided by your family Physician. In addition, BCDiabetes offers a range of services, including telephone appointments with doctors, diabetes education by certified diabetes educators, nurse care, and dietician services. We also have access to the latest diabetes medication through clinical trials, specialized pharmacy services, and an online patient portal. The patient portal allows patients to view blood test results, their personalized journal, and conduct secure Question & Answer sessions with BCDiabetes staff, usually with a response time of 2 business days or less.
Although your care at BCDiabetes is covered by our standard healthcare system, it is a specialty clinic and a referral from your doctor is required to explain your need for specialized care, and to facilitate rapid access to the many benefits we can provide.
