Amrit integrates the latest scientific research in a practical and light-hearted manner to support the individualized needs of her clients. She uses an upbeat and collaborative approach to nutrition counselling to help people set and achieve sustainable and realistic goals that support the development of self-management skills and encourage a sense of mindfulness.
Amrit received her Dietetics and Master of Science in Human Nutrition degrees from The University of British Columbia and is a Certified Diabetes Educator and Insulin Pump Trainer. She has worked in a variety of settings with both adults and youth, and brings this diverse experience to her clinical nutrition work. She specializes in both type 1 and type 2 diabetes and has a particular interest in insulin pump and continuous blood glucose sensor technology. Other areas of interest include heart health and weight management.
Amrit is trained as a yoga instructor and has been practicing and teaching in the lower mainland for 20 years.
