Afshin Azhir, MD, IMG, graduated from Tehran University of Medical Sciences, the leading medical school in Tehran, Iran. After completing his Doctor of Medicine, he worked as a general physician for five years and then completed his residency in pediatrics. Afshin pursued a fellowship in pediatric nephrology at Shiraz University of Medical Science, a fellowship in pediatric nephrology at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, Australia and a research fellowship in anatomical pathology in Alberta, Canada. Afshin has worked as an assistant professor before coming to Canada.
He also holds a Master of Public Health Administration degree from UBC. Afshin joined Dr. Elliott’s team in 2019.
He loves traveling and visiting new people.
Afshin is not a registrant of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC and therefore not licensed to practice medicine in BC.
